About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join our team at FEV UK. This is a great opportunity to work on exciting projects related to powertrain development, test cell operation, and vehicle integration.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Test Cell Management: The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operation of our Test Cells in Coventry.
  2. Test Planning and Execution: Excellent planning and organizational skills are required to ensure timely delivery of results and accurate execution of test plans.
  3. Collaboration with Colleagues: Strong teamwork and communication skills are essential to ensure seamless collaboration with colleagues across various departments.
  4. Continuous Improvement: A commitment to continuous improvement and knowledge sharing is expected from the successful candidate.

Key Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  2. Minimum of 2 years experience in a related industry.
  3. Strong knowledge of internal combustion engines operating principles (Gasoline, Diesel and Hydrogen).
  4. Good powertrain mechanical, electrical, electronic background.
  5. Hands-on experience of engines e.g. engine and component strip, repair and assembly.
  6. Experience of fuel injection, ignition and emission component operation.
  7. Experience of engine diagnostic scan tools for fault finding and repair.
  8. Understanding of modern vehicle electrical systems (engine management, harness, electronic systems).
  9. Knowledge of new vehicle technologies (e.g. H2, BEV).
  10. Ability to log and record engine and transmission scan tool OBD data (e.g. INCA).
  11. Experience in test bed operation and test bed control systems.

Salary and Benefits:

  • A competitive salary of £60,000 - £70,000 per annum, depending on experience.
