About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical Engineer Associate to join our Building Services team at Ramboll Group A/S. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of sustainable design and contributing to the delivery of high-profile projects in the UK and internationally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Leadership
    • Develop and implement technical strategies to drive innovation and excellence in building services engineering.
    • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and support the development of the mechanical team.
  • Project Delivery
    • Lead and coordinate all aspects of project delivery, ensuring timely and profitable completion of projects.
    • Work closely with clients to understand their needs and deliver high-quality solutions that meet their expectations.
  • Business Development
    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the local market, developing and maintaining relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
    • Collaborate with other teams to optimize technical direction and use of standard procedures and digital tools.
  • Team Management
    • Mentor and support the development of junior engineers, providing guidance and feedback to ensure their growth and success.
    • Contribute to the development of the mechanical team, ensuring that they have the skills and knowledge needed to deliver high-quality projects.

Requirements

  • Education
    • Chartered Engineer with a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience
    • Previous experience in leading and coordinating all aspects of project delivery, with a mechanical bias.
    • Strong technical competence with a demonstrable appreciation of sustainable and net-zero carbon design.
    • Excellent client-facing skills, with experience in presenting to clients and managing client relationships.
  • Skills
    • Ability to motivate and support multidisciplinary professional teams.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders.
