We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Advertising Solutions Manager to join our Commercial team at News UK. Our sales managers sell market-leading advertising solutions across all platforms to include digital and print display, branded content, video, and programmatic channels to their agency groups.


As a member of our team, you will be responsible for building strong relationships at all levels within trading and client services. You will develop, pitch, and deliver cross-platform advertising solutions targeting our vast and diverse audience.


Some key objectives of the role include:



  • Developing, pitching, and delivering cross-platform advertising solutions targeting our vast and diverse audience.
  • Proactively building and maintaining strong relationships within your agency and client patch with particular focus on investment, planning, pure play digital, programmatic, and publishing teams.
  • Maintaining an external profile through regular brand or bespoke presentations, meetings, hosting, and attending agency events and being a highly visible face of News UK in Manchester.
  • Understanding and applying News UK's first-party data, applying audience and product insight to help secure commercial revenue.
  • Working with the wider team to develop new and innovative commercial ideas that will drive incremental spend across multiple platforms.
  • Working collaboratively with respective digital and print operations teams to ensure we deliver campaigns correctly, on time, and to maximise performance.
  • Delivering excellent customer service through the sales cycle from prospecting, during the campaign period, and through to post-campaign analysis.
  • Defining growth objectives for the agency portfolio through an articulate business plan.
  • Producing accurate analytical and financial information when requested. Maintaining accurate Salesforce records and collaborating effectively with other departments through CRM.

  • Data literate and able to use 1PD to build sales narratives.
  • Creative approach to ideation, innovation around formats, and problem-solving.
