About the Role: We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Graduate Teaching Assistant to join our team at a SEND school in [Location]. The successful candidate will have a strong passion for supporting students with complex learning disabilities and will be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Support students with complex learning disabilities in accessing adapted curriculum and achieving targets through purposeful activities and lessons.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other professionals to develop and implement personalized plans for students.
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to students, promoting their well-being and self-esteem.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and development.
  • Participate in training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A GCSE or equivalent qualification in English and Mathematics
  • Experience working with children with social, emotional, and mental health needs
  • Experience supporting children with wide range specific learning difficulties and other barriers to learning
  • Experience of, and confidence with, dealing with challenging behaviors
  • Emotional resilience and a motivated attitude by challenge.
  • A passion to make a real difference in the education and lives of young people
