Job Title: Pest Control Officer

Location: West London

Pay Rate: £18.04 paye / £23.70 umbrella (per hour)

Duration: 3-month initial contract/ 35 hours a week (Mon-Fri, 9-5)

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Deliver a high-quality pest control service, carrying out treatments to eradicate and control infestations of rodents, insects, and other pests.
  2. Investigate pest infestations and ensure compliance with Health and Safety legislation.
  3. Provide advice to occupiers about measures to prevent re-infestation of insects.
  4. Investigate and provide advice on the control of pests such as foxes and squirrels.
  5. Ensure safe handling and storage of chemicals and equipment.
  6. Develop efficient working relationships with stakeholders.
  7. Maintain continuous professional development (CPD) to meet service needs.
  8. Ensure compliance with management processes and procedures, including Health & Safety and Diversity and Equality policy.

Requirements:

  1. Experience of providing pest control services.
  2. Knowledge of pest control health and safety legislation and compliance.
  3. Experience of working with the public and providing high-quality customer service.
  4. Ability to investigate complaints of rodent and insect infestation and carry out appropriate treatment.
  5. Ability to keep good records of all works carried out on site.
  6. Ability to climb ladders and work in confined spaces.
  7. Ability to drive a light goods vehicle and possess a full driving license.
  8. Able to use handheld PDA devices.
  9. Royal Society of Health certificate in Pest Control or BPCA certificate Part 1 or BPCA/RSPH (level 2) certificate in pest control.
