We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated English Curriculum Leader to join our team at the Wayman Learning Trust in Newham. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a critical role in shaping the educational journey of our students and contributing to the continued success of our school.

Job Overview:

As a Head of English, you will be responsible for leading our English department and ensuring that our students receive a high-quality education. You will have a deep understanding of the curriculum and be able to develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the needs of all learners.

About the Role:

  • You will be responsible for teaching and mentoring staff, as well as developing and implementing curricula that meet the needs of our diverse student body.
  • Our school has an over-subscribed student body and excellent behaviour, making it an ideal place to work and learn.
  • With a well-above Progress 8 score and a commitment to academic excellence, this is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team and make a real difference in the lives of our students.

Salary: We offer a competitive salary of £52,000 - £62,000 per annum, commensurate with experience.
