About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional Assistant General Manager to join our team at Drake and Morgan. As a key member of our management team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our bars and restaurants.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop a culture of actively seeking feedback from customers and implementing actions to continuously improve the guest experience.
  • Cover and manage the venue in the absence of the General Manager, ensuring seamless execution of common objectives.
  • Agree and implement revenue generation initiatives, managing sales and conversion to drive business growth.
  • Support the implementation of staff training and development programs, ensuring all employees are well-briefed on their responsibilities and receive constant supervision and motivation.
  • Review and communicate financial information to assist in proactive and timely decision making, managing monthly stock-takes and reviewing results with relevant departments.
  • Ensure strict control of stock through the management of wastages, correct practice and procedures behind the bar and on the floor.
  • Forecast potential revenues and costs for revenue/cost centres, with particular reference to labour forecasting.
  • Build and maintain an efficient team of employees, driving the team towards the objectives of the business.
  • Support the recruitment and selection of employees to the agreed staffing levels using cost-effective recruitment methods.
  • Support the management of all employees' performance in line with job descriptions, giving regular feedback and appraisals.
  • Assist in the management of disciplinary and grievance issues within the department in consultation with the General and Operations Managers.
