Assistant General Manager Job Overview

At Putt Putt Social, we are currently recruiting for an Assistant General Manager to lead our team in providing an exceptional socialising environment for adults. Reporting into the General Manager, this role involves leading, inspiring, and fostering a culture where we "Create Unforgettable Experiences One Guest at a Time".

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and improve the company's guest experience and feedback performance
  • Ensure the rigorous adherence to all applicable health and safety standards
  • Meet the company's Key Performance Indicators, including revenue targets, visitor numbers, operating costs, and overall budget management

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, high footfall environment, being hands-on and leading by example
  • Follow site opening and closing operational directives, daily, weekly, and monthly objectives
  • Maintain high standards of hygiene in line with company procedures
  • Manage stock levels, perform stock checks, and participate in weekly/monthly stock takes
  • Lead the way in 'Getting stuck in' and demonstrating leadership skills
  • Take responsibility for the site in the General Manager's absence, ensuring full handovers
  • Partner with the General Manager in recruiting, coaching, developing, and mentoring the team
  • Enjoy face-to-face interactions with guests, providing exceptional experiences
  • Have a good head for numbers, with commercial awareness and the ability to identify revenue opportunities
  • Ensure the Health & Safety of teams and guests is always the top priority

Qualifications and Skills:
  • At least 2 years of management/supervisory experience in a fast-paced leisure facility
  • A strong background in bar operations
  • Basic IT skills
  • A 3-day first-aid certificate is desirable but not essential

Working Conditions:
  • Work 40 hours a week, based on 5 days out of 7, with weekend work essential
  • Mixture of daytime, evening, and nighttime work
