We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Building Design Technician to join our team at New Appointments Group. As a Senior Building Design Technician, you will be responsible for preparing building regulations drawings and submissions, managing the process, and leading on the technical design element of the project.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare building regulations drawings and submissions
  • Manage the process
  • Lead on the technical design element of the project
  • Assist with the development of standard details
  • Assist the team with construction detailing and technical drawings
  • Produce detailed construction drawings, both freehand and computer generated
  • Co-ordinate detailed design information
  • Prepare building regulation drawings
  • Costing materials from plans

Requirements:

  • Excellent command of English, both written and spoken
  • Strong mathematical skills and computer literacy
  • Have excellent AutoCAD, Photoshop, Sketch-up skills
  • Experience in InDesign and 3D rendering packages
  • Good presentation skills
  • The ability to work under pressure
  • Evidence of being able to perform well as an individual and as part of a team
  • Excellent Microsoft Office Skills
  • Knowledge of UK building and planning regulations
  • Understanding of building technology
  • Must be confident, friendly, outgoing person who is able to work well within a team

Additional Requirements:

  • Must have transport due to the location of the business (there is no public transport to the location)
