Job Description

**Job Title:** Structural Packaging Designer

We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Packaging Designer to join our team at Launch Packaging Design. As a Structural Packaging Designer, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative packaging solutions for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop structural packaging solutions using CAD software (primarily CATIA)
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their packaging needs and develop solutions that meet their aesthetic and business goals
  • Manage client product data, including quality control
  • Communicate with clients and internal teams to ensure project deliverables are met
  • Develop knowledge of relevant packaging production processes and materials
  • Work with commitment to quality and continuous improvement
  • Work overtime when required to meet client deadlines

Requirements:

  • 2 years' experience working in product design, 3D design, technical design, or design engineering
  • ~2 years' experience of using CAD software, including the production of technical drawings and design documentation
  • ~ Minimum of undergraduate degree level qualification – preferably at a minimum level of 2:1 although 2:2 candidates will be considered
  • Background in product design, 3D design, technical design, or engineering discipline
  • Full computer literacy
  • Experience of product data management
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Suite
  • Experience of quality control standards
  • Experience using non-CAD 3D modeling software
  • Experience and/or knowledge of packaging technologies, production processes, and materials
  • Experience of management of client accounts
