At IPS Group, we are working with a top-tier syndicate to fill a newly created role for a Marine and Energy Liability Underwriter. This exciting opportunity is part of our ongoing effort to expand our team and further establish ourselves in the market.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced individual to join our team as a Marine and Energy Liability Underwriter. In this role, you will be responsible for handling a variety of complex insurance products, including P&I clubs, ports and terminals, ship repairers, traders liability, E&P, service contractors, and more.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and manage risks associated with marine and energy operations
  • Develop and implement strategies to minimize losses and maximize profits
  • Collaborate with underwriters, brokers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless transactions

The ideal candidate will possess excellent analytical and communication skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar position
  • Strong knowledge of marine and energy insurance products and risk management techniques
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

In exchange for your hard work and dedication, we offer a competitive salary range of $90,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on experience. Additionally, you will receive a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
