Thalia Waste Management is seeking a highly skilled Control Systems Technician to join our team. As a key member of our Maintenance Team, you will be responsible for maintaining all electrical, control, and instrumentation systems across the site.

Your primary duties will include fault finding and rectifying problems on electrical, control, and instrumentation equipment, as well as ensuring compliance with Health, Safety, Quality & Environmental standards, policies, and procedures.

Responsibilities:
  • Fault finding and rectifying problems on electrical, control, and instrumentation equipment.
  • Ensuring compliance with Health, Safety, Quality & Environmental standards, policies, and procedures.

To be successful in this role, you will require a recognized Electrical Engineering apprenticeship to NVQ or equivalent level 3, with an Electrical HNC being desirable. You must also possess outstanding attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, good communication, and good interpersonal skills.

Requirements:
  • Calibration of instrumentation (Level, Temperature, Pressure, Flow etc.).
  • Fault finding and rectifying problems on DCS, SCADA, and PLCs.
  • Control panels and wiring standards.
  • Motors/Switchgear cubicles.
  • Circuit breakers/Electrical transformers.
  • Experience/knowledge of safe systems of work including permit to work, method statements, and risk assessments.

We offer a competitive salary of approximately £45,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
