Job Title: Steelwork Contracts Manager

At Mitchell Maguire, we are seeking an experienced Steelwork Contracts Manager to join our team. As a key member of our construction recruitment consultancy, you will be responsible for managing a range of steelwork projects, from chimneys and flues to platforms and access structures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Read and interpret technical drawings to gain a thorough understanding of project requirements
  • Oversee projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and budget adherence
  • Regularly liaise with clients to update on project status and gather any further technical information required
  • Produce RAMS and H&S documentation for projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards
  • Resource and allocate labour and subcontractors, ensuring efficient project execution
  • Produce lift plans, if qualified, to ensure safe and efficient project execution
  • Manage project finances, including budgeting and cost control, to ensure profitability
  • Build and develop relationships with clients to encourage repeat business and referrals
Requirements:
  • Must have Contracts Manager/Project Manager experience within the steel fabrication/steelwork industry
  • Strong technical understanding of secondary steelwork is highly advantageous
  • IT literate, with proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
  • Full UK driving license
  • Stable career background, with a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and colleagues at all levels
