We are the original festival, bringing some of the world's most exciting and creative artists to audiences globally. Our global celebration of exceptional performing arts has been promoting the exchange of ideas since 1947.

About Us

Festivals Edinburgh is looking for a Media Officer to help us present this unparalleled celebration of the performing arts.

As a key member of our Audiences team, you will work closely with our Media Manager to promote the International Festival to various media outlets. You will also act as a central liaison between artists, agencies, media, and staff.

The ideal candidate will have at least two years' experience in media and communications work, with a proven track record in delivering press coverage. You must have a deep knowledge of and passion for the live performing arts.

This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to maintain a busy and efficient media office during the lead-up to and throughout the Festival in August.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Promote the International Festival to a broad range of media outlets
  • Liaise between artists, agencies, media, and staff
  • Maintain a busy and efficient media office
