Financial Controller Opportunity

Are you a seasoned financial professional looking for a new challenge? We have an exciting opportunity for a Part Time Financial Controller to join our team at a local charity within the creative sector.

As Financial Controller, you will be responsible for the smooth running of all financial operations, including preparation of the monthly financial review, and providing financial support and advice to budget holders. You will also lead the financial discipline across the organisation, ensuring compliance with all accounting, tax, and legal requirements.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Preparation of year-end accounts
  • Management of all financial accounting, monitoring and reporting systems
  • Accounting for VAT, preparation and submission of all relevant returns
  • Management of the Audit process and liaison with the Auditors
  • Reconciliation of bank statements and project budgets
  • Preparation of the monthly financial review and management of the annual budget with the CEO
  • Provision of financial information and reports as requested
  • Other duties include insurance, submission and review of payroll information, and additional tasks of a financial, accounting, and administrative nature as requested by the Chief Executive


Working hours are 18 hours over Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday, with annual leave of 6.6 weeks pro-rata including bank holidays. If you are a motivated and experienced financial professional looking for a new challenge, please apply with your CV.
