We are seeking two seasoned professionals to fill the role of Residential Safety Specialist with Reed Property & Construction in London.
Job OverviewThis is a temporary, hybrid position that requires flexibility until April 2025. The selected candidates will have the opportunity to work on high-rise residential buildings and ensure the safety and compliance of these structures.
The primary responsibilities include undertaking hazard assessments, developing safety cases, and reviewing fire precautionary measures. The successful candidates will also be responsible for liaising with operational teams, addressing risks identified during building inspections, and supporting the Mandatory Reporting process.
About the RoleAs a Residential Safety Specialist, you will play a crucial role in managing fire and structural risks associated with high-rise buildings. This involves:
- Undertaking hazard assessments to develop safety cases and reports for high-rise residential buildings.
- Reviewing existing fire precautionary measures and planning remediation or refurbishment works to ensure safety and minimal risk to residents.
- Liaising with operational teams to address and prioritise risks identified during Building Safety inspections.
- Supporting the Mandatory Reporting process with the Building Safety Regulator and managing enquiries or complaints about building safety.
- Providing fire and structural safety information to residents and supporting the delivery of the resident engagement strategy.
- Updating and maintaining systems/records to ensure data accuracy and meet KPIs.
To succeed in this role, you should possess:
- A strong understanding of Fire Risk Assessments and Approved Document B.
- The ability to produce detailed safety reports and work to tight guidelines and targets.
- Knowledge of structural safety and design.
- Technical qualifications in fire risk assessment (Level 4 desirable).
- Experience in asset management, compliance, and housing management programmes.
