About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Medicine Consultant to join our team at Royal Brompton Hospital. The successful candidate will have a special interest in Sleep and Home Mechanical Ventilation and will play a key role in providing specialist services to patients with sleep disorders and respiratory failure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide specialist services to patients with sleep disorders and respiratory failure
  • Develop and implement treatment plans for patients with complex respiratory conditions
  • Conduct clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care
  • Participate in teaching and training at undergraduate and postgraduate levels

Requirements

  • MB BS or equivalent medical qualification
  • Higher degree (PhD, MD etc)
  • MRCP or equivalent
  • Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in respiratory medicine or equivalent

Desirable Skills

  • Teaching skills
  • Ability to conduct clinical audit
  • Ability to initiate and supervise research

Working Arrangements

The successful candidate will be required to work part-time and will be expected to join a team of physicians to provide specialist services to patients with sleep disorders and respiratory failure.
