Block Management Specialist

Dexters is a leading property management company seeking an experienced Block Management Specialist to join our team.
About the RoleThis is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a skilled professional to take ownership of a portfolio of medium-sized blocks, working closely with the Director of Block Management and other stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have excellent leasehold law knowledge and project management skills, as well as experience managing people and driving results.
Key Responsibilities- Interpreting leases and providing expert advice to internal and external clients;
- Managing a portfolio of medium-sized blocks, including refurbishment work and tendering contracts;
- Preparing and agreeing annual budgets, liaising with the service charge team, and undertaking periodic financial reviews;
- Resolving service charge disputes, initiating and reviewing reactive maintenance procedures, and managing on-site staff;
- Undertaking regular client liaison and attending meetings, initiating major works, and overseeing their completion;
- Ensuring legal consultations are conducted in accordance with current legislation and managing covenant breaches;
- Dealing with sales packs and completing LPE1 forms, integrating new instructions into the portfolio, and identifying new business opportunities;
- A proven track record in block management, with excellent leasehold law knowledge and project management skills;
- Experience managing people and driving results, with strong communication and customer service skills;
- Excellent literacy and numerical skills, with a full, clean, current driver's license and own vehicle;
- Working knowledge of Propman database application an advantage;
We offer a competitive salary range of £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits including a performance-related bonus scheme and opportunities for career development.
