HGV Technician Job Description

We are seeking a qualified and experienced HGV Technician to join our team at Kautec Recruitment Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out routine and preventative maintenance on a diverse fleet of commercial vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carrying out inspections and maintenance on a varied fleet of HGVs, including main dealer vehicles, road tankers, gritters, and RCVs.
  • Performing routine and preventative maintenance, including MOT preparation and scheduled servicing to DVSA standards.
  • Correcting running defects and improving vehicle standards.
  • Working on chassis and fabrication, hydraulics and pneumatics, electrical and wiring inspections and corrections.

Requirements:

  • Fully qualified HGV Technician with City & Guilds, NVQ or equivalent.
  • Additional accreditations such as IRTEC or an EV qualification desirable.
  • HGV Class 1 or Class 2 licence an advantage.

What We Offer:

  • Permanent position - Full time.
  • 45 hours per week, between the hours of 07:30 - 17:00.
  • Overtime available.
  • Standby and call out fees additional to hourly rate.
