Leaders In Care Recruitment Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Home Chemotherapy Care Specialist to deliver vital oncology treatments to patients in their own homes across Newcastle and surrounding areas.

About the Role

This is a temporary contract of at least 6 months with a nationally recognised specialist provider of Cancer Care.

We are looking for an experienced nurse who can provide high-quality chemotherapy treatment and care to patients in their own homes, ensuring patient safety and adherence to treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide chemotherapy treatment and care to patients in their homes, prioritising their comfort and well-being.
  • Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Ensure patient safety by adhering to treatment plans and protocols, and reporting any concerns or issues promptly.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide holistic care, addressing patients' physical, emotional, and social needs.
  • Participate in ongoing training and education to maintain up-to-date skills and knowledge in oncology nursing.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary of £45,000 per annum, commensurate with experience, as well as opportunities for professional growth and development in a dynamic and supportive team environment.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Nursing (Adult or Children's) and current registration with the NMC.
  • Experience in oncology nursing, preferably in a community setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • A strong understanding of chemotherapy protocols and treatment plans, with the ability to interpret and implement them safely and effectively.
  • A commitment to providing high-quality patient care, prioritising their comfort, dignity, and well-being.
Location

This role is based in Newcastle and surrounding areas, with travel required to visit patients in their homes.
