Key Responsibilities- Assist in the delivery of patient care, ensuring the highest standards of safety and quality.
- Support the management and organisation of care provision within the Operating Department.
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes.
- Develop and enhance the skills and knowledge of others and self, promoting best evidence-based practice.
- Apply and promote legislation, policies, and procedures correctly, ensuring compliance with Health and Safety regulations.
- Assemble, check, and prepare surgical equipment, instruments, and consumables for a wide range of operative procedures.
- Registered Practitioner with NMC or HCPC registration.
- ILS (Infection Prevention and Control) qualification.
- Mentorship qualification.
- Maths and English GCSE at grades A to C or equivalent functional skills level 2 evidence.
- Proficient in the use of a PC, including software and systems.
- Experience of customer care, including interacting with customers in challenging situations.
- Previous experience working within an acute healthcare environment.
- Surgical First Assistant Certificate.
