Programme Manager

Forestry and Land Scotland is seeking a Programme Manager to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing programmes that meet the UK Forestry Standard and the UK Woodland Assurance Standard. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement programmes of work that meet the UK Forestry Standard and the UK Woodland Assurance Standard
• Work closely with the delivery, planning, and environment teams to prepare detailed programmes of work for harvesting, civil establishment, and environment
• Organise and manage regular beat team meetings to support the development of annual programmes and monitor in-year progress
• Create and maintain GIS spatial programmes and spreadsheets to record programmes and their progress
Person Specification:
• A degree or HND in Forestry or equivalent Land Management qualification
• Relevant knowledge and experience of forest operations, forest management, or land management
• Ability to coordinate and manage time-critical programmes of work and see opportunities for integrated working
• Demonstrable experience of building strong working relationships with internal colleagues and a wide range of external stakeholders and regulators
