Job Title: Project Planning Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Project Planning Specialist to join our team at ENGINEERINGUK. As a key member of our Submarines project management team, you will be responsible for maintaining schedules and creating control account schedules that reflect the work required to deliver customer or business requirements.

You will work closely with stakeholders to capture project work scope and provide planning process support and governance to the wider delivery team. Your expertise in Earned Value Management (EVM) and scheduling software such as Primavera P6 will enable accurate cost profiling and performance reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain project schedules using Primavera P6
  • Identify schedule impact issues and proactively pursue solutions
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to planners across the business
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to capture project work scope

Requirements:

  • Desirable: Project Planning and Controls (PPC) qualification or APM Project Management Qualification (PMQ)
  • Desirable: Demonstrable experience in a similar position or entry-level qualification (HNC or Foundation Degree)
  • Strong knowledge of scheduling software (Primavera P6)

Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum
