Electrical Technician Onsite Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Technician to join our team at BOC Limited, a Linde company. As an Electrical Technician Onsite, you will be responsible for completing electrical work at our Middlesbrough and Teesside Hydrogen plants.

Key Responsibilities
  • Complete all electrical maintenance activities aligned to BOC and regulator standards
  • Work with the electrical foreman to plan maintenance activities and repairs using our planning system
  • Provide high and low voltage isolations to ensure safe maintenance and inspections
  • Manage and work with staff resources on and off site, reviewing method statements and risk assessments
  • Solve plant problems and identify opportunities to enhance plant reliability
  • Participate in small site projects, including preparation, scoping, and costing, as well as completion of change management documentation
  • Respond to out-of-hours breakdowns at the plants, with compensation provided
Requirements
  • On-the-job, practical electrical skills and training achieved through an apprenticeship or previous work experience
  • Self-starter with a proactive and highly safety-conscious approach, able to think on your feet to prioritize business and safety decisions
  • Driving license required for travel between Middlesbrough and Teesside sites
  • Naturally curious and enjoy solving problems, fault finding, and suggesting improvements
  • Higher National Certificate or equivalent in an electrical discipline is an advantage
  • Completion of an 18th Edition, S4 High Voltage, or CompEx Inspection & Installation Course is also an advantage
