Administrative Team Lead

Job Summary
The North Somerset Community Paediatric department is seeking a dedicated individual to assist with the day-to-day effective running of the department.
The post holder will be required to deputise in the absence of the admin manager and demonstrate strong leadership and organisational skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Organising own time and being clear and transparent in day-to-day working.
- Leading on coordinating weekly admin workflow, reallocating work during Annual Leave and Sickness, and ensuring the service continues to run effectively.
- Liaising with other professionals, departments, and services as required.
- Coordinating weekly, monthly, and quarterly monitoring returns alongside the Manager, helping to resolve all outstanding data queries.
- Identifying issues with processes, creating solutions, and implementing changes in conjunction with the wider team.
- Coordinating, monitoring, and supervising admin staff employed within the service, and reporting any concerns to the Management Team as necessary.
- Leading on developing working procedures and guidance for administrative team tasks.
- Ensuring the workload within the administrative team is delivered efficiently, accurately, and within set timeframes.
- Liaising closely with all members of the administrative team, providing leadership and direction.
- Direct management, including first level sickness management, grievances and discipline, appraisals, allocation of work, training, and development.
- Undertaking effective employee appraisals for all managed administrative staff, identifying and agreeing individual training needs and personal development plans in line with service objectives.
- Taking responsibility for own role, identifying any knowledge/skills gaps where additional support/training is needed.
