Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing medical leadership and clinical expertise to our multidisciplinary team, working with older adults with mental health issues.

Main Responsibilities

The post holder will be expected to:

  • Provide medical leadership and guidance to the team
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop treatment plans for patients
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care
  • Participate in local leadership meetings and contribute to service development
  • Supervise junior medical staff and participate in teaching and training

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • MB BS or equivalent medical qualification
  • MRCPsych with CCT in Old Age Psychiatry
  • Fully registered with the GMC with a licence to practice
  • Approved clinician status and S12 approval
  • Excellent clinical knowledge and experience in Old Age Psychiatry
