Job Title: Security Escort Project Officer

Job Summary: We are seeking a reliable and trustworthy Security Escort Project Officer to join our team at Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited. As a Security Escort Project Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of contractors, staff, and prisoners during construction work at HMP Isle Of Wight.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Checking in contractors and their tools
  • Escorting contractors around the prison, ensuring they are never left unsupervised
  • Supervision of contractors while they are working on site
  • Patrolling perimeter and grounds
  • Routine administrative work

Requirements:

  • Honest, hard-working, reliable, and trustworthy
  • Excellent team player
  • No formal qualifications required
  • Previous experience in security or a similar role is not necessary

Uniform: You will need to provide basic uniform yourself, but additional PPE will be provided by the prison/contractors.

Security Clearance: All applicants must undergo and pass full prison clearance (EL1) before starting at the prison, which can take 6-8 weeks to complete.
