Job Title: DevOps Engineer

Duration: 6 Months Contract

Location: Remote

Work Mode: Hybrid

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the platform engineering team to design and implement DevOps pipelines for application teams.
  • Develop and maintain cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation.
  • Implement build and deployment pipelines for applications in GitLab.
  • Assist in the conversion of existing applications to standardized pipelines.
  • Manage cloud infrastructure and ensure compliance with firm standards.
  • Participate in code reviews and develop and support the developer platform portal.

Requirements:

  • Experience with deployment technologies, including cloud infrastructure (AWS), Kubernetes, Containers (Docker), and Git.
  • Strong understanding of DevOps practices, including Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, and Trunk-Based Development.
  • Proficiency in Linux scripting and deployment experience.
  • Experience with Python development and packaging.
  • Understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, HTTP, and firewalls.
  • Experience with infrastructure automation tools, such as Helm, Kustomize, and Terraform.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with the Backstage framework for developer portals.
  • Knowledge of data science technologies, including Spark, Dask, Parquet, Iceberg, Apache Hadoop, Hive, Presto, SQL, and Postgres.
