Yard Maintenance Supervisor

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Yard Maintenance Controller to join our team at Prestige Recruitment Specialists. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our yard, including loading and unloading HGV vehicles, inspecting and assessing containers, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Daily inspection of FLT's and containers
- Inspection and assessment of all containers - incoming and outgoing
- Cleaning containers inside and out, ensuring they are customer-ready
- Loading and off-loading of container units
- Daily checks around the year
- Delivering small containers to customers
- Reporting on the movement of containers in and out of the depot
- Travelling to customer sites to inspect containers for CSC
- Carrying out minor repairs on units as required - welding would be an advantage
Requirements:
- Full driving licence holder
- Forklift truck licence holder
- Ability to handle and maintain containers
- Experience working in a busy outdoor environment
- Self-motivated with good communication skills
- Ability to build relationships with team members, staff, and external parties
- Willingness to learn new skills
Work Hours:
40 hours per week, permanent contract, 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday (no weekend working)
