Hays Senior Finance have partnered with a leading regulator in Birmingham to find an experienced Financial Reporting and Assurance Manager for a permanent role.
Your new role
As a technical accountant, you will be responsible for monitoring and reviewing financial information provided by companies for compliance with relevant reporting requirements.
- Performing technical reviews of companies' annual reports and accounts to identify potential material non-compliance with reporting requirements.
- Recommending regulatory action if necessary.
- Maintaining and developing technical knowledge and understanding of accounting standards.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this position, you will need:
- To be a fully qualified member of a recognized accounting body, such as ICAEW, ACCA, ICAS, or CAI.
- Significant post-qualification experience of applying IFRS and UK GAAP, ideally at a senior manager level or above.
- A good understanding of the regulatory environment and regulatory frameworks.
- Flexible working arrangements.
