About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Child and Educational Psychologist to join our team at Cheshire West and Chester Council. As a key member of our service, you will provide high-quality applied psychology services to schools, colleges, and early years settings, promoting inclusion and maximizing the achievement of young people.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement strategies and techniques grounded in psychological and educational theory to promote inclusion and maximize achievement.
  • Contribute to multi-agency partnerships to ensure effective working for children, young people, and their families.
  • Support schools and early years settings in meeting SEND legislation and related Council policies and procedures.
  • Contribute to the effectiveness of the Council in implementing local and national strategies, policies, and practices.
  • Support school improvement, focusing on schools identified by Ofsted or the Council as causing concern.

Requirements
  • Registration with the HCPC or eligibility to register once qualified.
