About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Carpenter to join our team at HMP Winchester, a category B adult male local prison. Our primary goal is to provide high-quality maintenance and repair services to ensure the facility's infrastructure remains safe and secure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and repair wooden structures, furniture, and other equipment within the prison.
• Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues and implement preventative measures.
• Collaborate with other tradespeople to complete large-scale projects and improve overall facility conditions.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in carpentry, preferably in a similar environment.
• Demonstrated expertise in woodwork, including planning, measuring, cutting, and assembling.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team, adhering to strict safety protocols and guidelines.
