Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our thriving SEN school in Maidstone.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with SEN, adapting teaching methods to meet individual learning styles.
  • Assist the class teacher in creating and implementing tailored learning plans.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Support students with their personal care needs if required.
  • Monitor and record students' progress and contribute to progress reviews.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities.
Requirements:
  • Experience working with children or young people with SEN (desirable but not essential)
  • A patient, empathetic, and nurturing approach to working with students.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Basic knowledge of SEN strategies and interventions.
  • A commitment to promoting inclusivity and diversity within the school community.
