Procurement Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Manager to join our team at Conduco Resourcing. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for leading a team of procurement professionals and overseeing the procurement process from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and sustain a competent team of procurement professionals, providing leadership and fostering growth within direct, indirect, and service procurement functions.
  • Ensure timely supplier delivery, maintain inventory levels through the supply chain, and support quality and cost objectives.
  • Establish and manage supplier capacity planning models, including constraint management, in collaboration with the SIOP team.
  • Initiate and manage cost-out and delivery projects, focusing on Sourcing, Cost Out, and Business Model Changes to meet and exceed MPV targets aligned with PP commitments.
  • Oversee the management of ECN and MPS changes impacting direct materials in the supply chain, working closely with Commodity Managers, Engineering, Operations, Supplier Quality, and Supplier Development teams.
  • Implement projects related to the commodity strategy to support divisional goals in cost, quality, delivery, supplier reduction, and sourcing.
  • Collaborate with the Supplier Quality and Supplier Delivery teams to enhance the current supply base and develop new suppliers as needed.
  • Ensure the sustainability of ERP data.
  • Coordinate with Commodity Management and Material Planning to establish and implement pull production/stocking arrangements (Kanban/DLF) with suppliers.
  • Maintain ERP supplier parameters (e.g., MFGPro) including Supplier Time Fences, MOQ, Min/Max levels, safety time, and safety stock management in alignment with the SIOP team, and establish and maintain Plan for Every Part (PFEP).
  • Manage supplier compliance and communications.
  • Ensure appropriate performance measures (Quality, Cost, and Delivery) for the supply base and provide feedback on results.
Requirements:
  • In-depth knowledge of materials planning systems (MRP/ERP) and order generation process logic.
  • CIPS/APICS CPIM certification (or working towards it).
  • Comprehensive understanding of SCM operational concepts, including production planning, scheduling, purchasing, and inventory control.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional process improvement teams.
  • Preferred experience in procurement management and the manufacturing industry.
  • Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills.
