Quality Assurance Manager

Veetee Group is a leading ambient foods and rice company, supplying major retailers, wholesalers, and food manufacturing businesses. Our operations span two factories and three warehouses in Rochester, Kent, one manufacturing site in India, and a Sales & Distribution team in the USA.
Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to maintain and implement required standards for food safety, legality, and quality. This role will be responsible for managing the Quality Assurance Department and NPD at Veetee Foods, ensuring compliance with BRC standards.
Key Responsibilities- Implement defined systems and procedures for accurate assessment, monitoring, and documentation of quality.
- Maintain and continually improve the site QMS to ensure it remains robust and fit for purpose.
- Work with the Technical Manager to ensure all products are fully risk-assessed as part of the HACCP.
- Ensure all QA daily tasks are completed and non-conformances are addressed and resolved.
- Train all factory staff on BRC, customer, and related documentation.
- Monitor and investigate customer complaints and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
- Publish monthly KPIs dashboard to Senior Management.
- Manage quality of third-party supplied products.
- Work with production Shift Supervisors to deal with daily factory issues.
- Previous experience in a similar role in the Food Industry.
- Thorough knowledge of Food safety legislation and labelling requirements.
- Previous experience with technical specification management and use of ERP software.
- Experience in handling customer complaints, NPD processes, and long shelf-life products.
- Understanding of food microbiology.
- A degree-level qualification in food science or related discipline.
- HACCP qualification and Food Hygiene and/or Advanced Food Hygiene Training.
