About the Role
County Durham & Darlington NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an exceptional Pastoral Care Specialist to provide spiritual support and care to patients, carers, and staff across our Trust. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing sensitive support in life-changing events and complex situations in our maternity unit.
Main Responsibilities
- Offer pastoral care and support to individuals facing challenging situations, demonstrating empathy and understanding.
- Conduct services as needed in the maternity unit, respecting the diversity of faith groups and cultures.
Requirements
- Accreditation and authorization by the relevant faith group or community.
- Substantial experience in hospital and community settings, with expertise in pastoral care.
- Knowledge of Equality and Diversity issues and ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups.
Salary and Benefits
The estimated salary for this role is £32,000 - £42,000 per annum, depending on experience. The Trust offers a range of benefits, including opportunities for professional development, flexible working arrangements, and a supportive work environment.
