We are a leading recruitment agency specializing in property management placements. Our clients are well-established estate agencies seeking experienced professionals to drive their business forward.

Job Title: Head of Property Management

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Head of Property Management to join our client's team in the Cambridge area. As a key member of the management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the property management department and ensuring the smooth operation of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Management: Lead and manage a team of property managers, providing guidance and support to ensure they meet their targets and deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Client Liaising: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
  • Inventory Management: Organize and conduct property inventories, ensuring accurate records are maintained.
  • Property Visits: Conduct regular property visits to ensure the properties are being managed effectively and that any issues are addressed promptly.
  • Contractor Management: Appoint and monitor contractors, ensuring they meet the required standards and that works are completed on time and within budget.
  • Deposit Resolution: Manage deposit disputes and ensure that all statutory obligations are met.
  • Rent Collection: Oversee the collection of rent, ensuring that all payments are made on time and that any arrears are pursued promptly.
  • Administration: Manage the administration of new tenancies and tenancy extensions, ensuring that all necessary paperwork is completed accurately and efficiently.

Requirements:

  • Experience: A minimum of 4 years of property management experience is essential, with a proven track record of success in a similar role.
  • Qualifications: ARLA qualification is desirable, but not essential.
  • Skills: Highly organized, with a positive work ethic and the ability to work well under pressure. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as is the ability to manage time and workload effectively.

  • Competitive Salary: Up to £40,000 basic salary, with OTE up to £53,000.
