Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

Protocol Education is seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a SEN Teaching Assistant. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children with additional needs.

About the Role:

We are looking for a supportive and patient individual who can work alongside the class teacher to provide one-to-one support to a child with additional needs. The successful candidate will also support the whole class setting on occasions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work alongside the class teacher to support children with their learning
  • Manage the behaviour of pupils whilst they undertake their work and ensure a constructive and positive environment is always enforced
  • De-escalate situations within the classroom in the correct way, ensuring safeguarding procedures are always adhered to
  • Carry out small group work and work with children with additional needs
  • Report any safeguarding concerns using the school's referral procedures and safeguarding policies
Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have a passion for making a difference to the lives of children and possess a calm and reassuring nature. A positive attitude and a flexible and enthusiastic approach to work are essential.
