Job Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Howells Solutions Limited. As a leading contractor, we're currently experiencing substantial growth due to recent contract wins.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the commercial and financial aspects of projects, ensuring timely delivery within budget.

About the Role:

  • Manage contracts, producing valuations, claims, and budget monitoring reports.
  • Authorise and submit project variations, maximising cash flow through work valuation and invoicing.
  • Lead junior team members, supporting their development and providing commercial expertise.
  • Certify interim and final payments to sub-contractors.

Requirements:

  • Degree or technical qualification in Quantity Surveying or related field.
  • Experience working with main contractors, demonstrating strong commercial awareness.
  • Proven track record delivering contracts on time and within budget.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and V-Look Up.
  • Data interrogation and contractual knowledge.
  • Negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of Supply Chain management.
