Homes for Students is a prominent student accommodation and facilities management contractor with an expanding presence nationwide. With 40 contracts secured in the last year, we continue to grow and excel in our field.

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Management Specialist to join our Finance team based in Harrogate, working 40 hours per week from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm, Monday to Friday. The successful candidate will enjoy a salary of £35,000 - £50,000 per annum, depending on experience.

The role involves working closely with Assistant Management Accountants and serving as the primary point of contact for various Client Finance representatives. Key responsibilities include producing accurate and insightful monthly accounts, reviewing properties' financial reports, and preparing balance sheet reconciliations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Preparation of monthly management accounts within tight deadlines.
  • Supporting the review of properties' monthly finance reports.
  • Preparing and reviewing month-end balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Maintaining accurate accruals and prepayments records.
  • Performing quarterly investor calculations.
  • Producing client financial reforecasting.
  • Ensuring compliance with clients' Controlled Self-Assessment requirements.
  • Assisting with annual statutory audits.
  • Providing training support to team members.
  • Participating in ad-hoc tasks and reporting.
