Laing O'Rourke is seeking an experienced Data Analyst to join our Data team, supporting data requirements for our Clients & Markets team.

About the Role:

We are looking for a skilled Data Analyst to take ownership of business opportunity data from our construction and business activities across various data capture methods. As a key member of the data team, you will help the C&M function understand the drivers behind finance and work winning opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Understand and document work winning systems, processes, and data.
  2. Manipulate data from internal and external sources and develop use cases to meet business objectives.
  3. Work with our implementation teams to ensure we are tracking necessary data internally.
  4. Analyse datasets using a combination of tools including SQL, PowerBI, and PowerApps.
  5. Produce and communicate insights relating to sustainability performance.
  6. Agree KPIs for measuring performance and establish appropriate reporting at a corporate and project level.
  7. Participate in strategic discussions and make recommendations based on insights uncovered.
  8. Work closely with C&M stakeholders to analyse and present data that drives business decisions.
  9. Adhere to and contribute to standards and best practices with the central data & analytics team.
  10. Maintenance and development of Power BI dashboards measuring Sustainability KPIs.

Requirements:

  1. Strong data visualisation skills.
  2. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  3. Intermediate to advanced SQL skills.
  4. Engineering / Computer Science / Statistics Degree with Masters Preferred or equivalent experience / Finance or Accounting.
