About the Role

This is a senior technical support role within F5 Global Services, where you'll provide expert-level support to resolve complex software and hardware issues related to F5 products. You'll have the autonomy to resolve technical issues of any complexity, and your expertise will be invaluable in helping our customers achieve their business goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Tier-3 technical support to resolve software and hardware issues related to F5 products.
  • Develop innovative debug/repro tools and solutions to problems and prove them out in a lab environment.
  • Build strong working relationships with peers, partnering with engineers, managers, and related F5 departments.
  • Work with Product Development and Product Management to ensure products are developed in ways that enable our customers' businesses with minimal friction.
  • Participate in a knowledge-centric support environment via article/documentation creation, training, and mentoring Tier 2 engineers.
Requirements

To succeed as an Enterprise Network Engineer at F5, you'll need:

  • Deep conceptual knowledge of software and networking protocols, including Linux/UNIX and the OSI model.
  • Subject matter technical knowledge of and experience troubleshooting complex network issues.
  • Ability to reproduce issues using appropriate tools, such as tcpdump, TShark, or Wireshark.
  • Comfortable with virtualization, encapsulation, and clustered computing environments.
  • Good analytical problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Customer support experience with enterprise-level corporate customers in production environments.
  • Good interpersonal and presentation skills, both oral and written.
