The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our kitchen team at The Lost & Found. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assisting the Head Chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchen, ensuring that all food is prepared to the highest standards and that the kitchen is run efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Head Chef in menu planning, food preparation, and kitchen operations
  • Manage and develop the wider kitchen team, providing guidance and support as needed
  • Ensure that all food safety and hygiene standards are met, and that the kitchen is maintained in a clean and organized manner
  • Contribute to the development of new menu ideas and dishes
  • Work closely with the Head Chef to achieve kitchen targets and objectives

Requirements
  • Experience in a fresh food kitchen, working as a Sous Chef or similar role
  • Understanding of GP's, labour budgets, and stock management
  • Ability to inspire, motivate, and support the development of the wider kitchen team
  • Competent understanding of all regulations, food hygiene, and company specifications
  • Genuine passion for delivering top-quality dishes
  • Excellent team player with exceptional communication skills
