Estimating Director

Affinity Water is seeking an experienced Estimating Manager to lead a team of cost engineers and data analysts in maintaining and applying asset cost capture processes and models. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that cost engineering management is in place to meet project requirements, quality standards, and objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement cost engineering strategies to optimize project costs and deliver projects within budget.
- Lead a team of cost engineers and data analysts to ensure that cost data is accurate, reliable, and up-to-date.
- Monitor and review cost data to detect and assess challenges and make recommendations to resolve issues.
- Collaborate with the Commercial and Procurement team to ensure that strategies are maximized and costs are minimized.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimal performance.
- Manage, coach, and develop a high-performing cost estimating team that delivers best practice results, added value, and continuous improvements.
- Relevant degree qualification (or equivalent) in a field such as engineering, economics, or finance.
- Professional body membership or equivalent.
- Proven experience in estimating within the water or utility industry.
- Highly skilled communicator with the ability to form and maintain good relationships internally and externally.
- Proven management skills with the ability to optimize team performance and development.
- Commercial and financial acumen.
- Highly developed analytical skills.
- Strong technical mindset and ability to read and interpret technical data.
- Highly numerate with the ability to research, assemble, and manage numerical information.
- Basic salary £75,000 - £80,000.
- Level 2 Car Allowance £4300.
