Technical Supervisor - Maintenance and Operations

Join a leading manufacturing company in the Liverpool area and take on a challenging role as a Technical Supervisor - Maintenance and Operations. This exciting opportunity will see you leading the maintenance and operations team, ensuring the smooth running of our injection moulding process.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct trials for new processing tools and materials to enhance product quality and efficiency.
  • Develop and implement strategies for controlling and improving the injection moulding process and optimizing operations.
  • Collaborate with the management team to define and promote best practices within the injection moulding department.
  • Lead the development, implementation, and sustainment of injection moulding best practices across the organization.
  • Define specifications for production machines and ancillary equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Develop and implement reporting tools to measure and analyze injection moulding machinery performance.
  • Actively work on continuous improvement initiatives within the injection moulding process.
  • Provide direction and support to development and setter teams on projects and daily tasks.
  • Analyze data and prepare comprehensive reports on injection moulding performance.
  • Faultfind and repair on moulding machines, ancillary equipment, conveyors, dryers, and robotics, managing contractors and planning maintenance.
Requirements:
  • Time-served mechanical or electrical engineer (mechanical bias preferred).
  • Strong background in injection moulding manufacturing.
  • Experience in fault-finding and repair of moulding machines, ancillary equipment, conveyors, dryers, and robotics.
  • Experience with planned maintenance and control of stores and spares.
  • Ability to manage contractors on-site effectively.
