About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Walker Sime. As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for leading project delivery, managing costs, interacting with clients, mentoring junior team members, and collaborating with colleagues across our Liverpool and Manchester offices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead project delivery from inception to completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
  • Provide expert cost management services, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting, while managing costs effectively across all project stages.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs, and ensuring we exceed their expectations.
  • Guide and mentor junior members of the team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
  • Collaborate closely with colleagues across our Liverpool and Manchester offices, contributing to the collective success of our team.
Requirements
  • Proven expertise as a Senior Quantity Surveyor, with a successful track record of managing projects, ideally within a consultancy setting.
  • In-depth understanding of various sectors within Real Estate, including museums, residential, life sciences, infrastructure, and more, with experience in different procurement routes and contract forms.
  • Leadership skills, with the ability to lead projects and guide teams towards successful outcomes.
  • Relevant qualifications, such as a degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field, and membership in a relevant professional body (RICS or equivalent).
