We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 ADHD Support Assistant to work closely with a specific student with ADHD, helping them overcome learning barriers, fostering engagement, and encouraging positive behaviours in the classroom.

The Role:

As a 1:1 ADHD Support Assistant, you will be responsible for providing individualized support to a student with ADHD, helping them to overcome challenges and achieve their full potential. You will work closely with the student, teachers, and other support staff to develop and implement strategies to support the student's learning and well-being.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children with ADHD or similar behavioural challenges is highly desirable.
  • A strong understanding of ADHD and its impact on learning and development.
  • Patient, empathetic, and resilient, with the ability to remain calm under challenging circumstances.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and external professionals.
  • A positive and nurturing approach to supporting students with special educational needs.
  • An understanding of the Church of England ethos and a willingness to support the school's values.
