Main Duties

The successful candidate will work alongside our multidisciplinary team to provide patient care, undertake phlebotomy, and dynamic function testing under the supervision of our Endocrine Specialist Nurses.

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

  • Work alongside the Diabetes and Endocrine Multidisciplinary team in the provision of patient care
  • Undertake phlebotomy and dynamic function testing in accordance with trust protocols and guidelines under the supervision of the Endocrine Specialist Nurses
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation in the patients medical record
  • Administer prescribed medication in a safe and timely manner in accordance with trust policies and training
  • Deliver direct patient education and promote effective communication with patients, relatives, and the MDT
  • Liaise with Primary and Secondary care colleagues to facilitate the safe handover of patient care plans
  • Contribute to service development and deliver high standards of care in accordance with National and Local targets and guidelines

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will possess a Foundation Degree in Health and Social Care, basic maths, English, and IT skills, and experience of working in a healthcare setting in a clinical supporting role.

Working Hours

This is a part-time role, working hours are between 8am and 5pm, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
