About the Role

As a Commercial Analysis Manager, you'll play a key role in driving the future growth of the bank, forming strong relationships with customers and stakeholders, and contributing to the success of our Regional Commercial Team.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and maintain a portfolio of commercial lending customers, working closely with the Business Development teams and Lending Directors to convert leads and grow the bank's customer base.
  2. Build and maintain influential business relationships with key market professionals, clients, and customers, representing Metro Bank as an external face to the commercial market.
  3. Manage risk, including Credit, Operational, and Regulatory, to ensure the bank's assets are protected and our customers' needs are met.
  4. Partner with internal colleagues and stakeholders to deliver required propositions and pricing requirements, risk policies, and reporting within established appetites.
  5. Support the Commercial Analysts in their lending fulfillment activities, providing guidance and expertise as needed.
Requirements
  1. A proven track record of commercial lending within commercial/corporate banking environments, ideally with experience as a Commercial Banking Manager or equivalent.
  2. A strong understanding of financial analysis, credit writing, and report writing for customers with complex needs.
  3. Experience in building, maintaining, and growing valuable commercial banking relationships and converting leads.
  4. A good working knowledge of risk management, Financial Crime, AML, KYC requirements, and TCF/conduct expectations.
