Role Description

As an Administrative HR Assistant at Involve Recruitment, you will play a vital role in providing support to the HR team. Your primary responsibilities will include maintaining employee relations databases, generating disciplinary letters, and attending hearings.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Maintain and develop employee relations database
  • Prepare and send disciplinary invite letters (stage 1, 2, 3)
  • Attend disciplinary hearings, take minutes, and create letters of concern and warning letters
  • Manage HR records, adhering to GDPR guidelines and implementing a secure digital storage system
  • Determine retention periods for records and oversee their disposal
  • Compile and present HR best practices to the Managing Director
  • Develop and maintain policies and procedures in conjunction with external HR consultants, ensuring compliance with employment law
  • Create and issue contracts
  • Collaborate with the payroll department to set up HR database entries
  • Participate in recruitment efforts by writing fair and inclusive job adverts, initial candidate screening, arranging interviews, and creating offer letters
  • Welcome new starters by conducting right-to-work checks, setting up HR database entries, and providing support during their initial period
  • Work closely with managers to monitor probationary periods and provide guidance on disciplinary matters
  • Contribute to the development of HR database functionality and introduce routine HR processes
  • Produce regular management reports detailing start dates, leave, and holiday administration

Essential Requirements:

  • Previous experience in HR is essential
  • A relevant HR qualification is desirable
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Maintaining confidentiality at all times
  • Excellent IT and organisational abilities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with Breathe software

Salary Range: £32,500 - £42,000 per annum
